**Who are we looking for?**
We are currently looking for a **Brisbane-based Electrical Designer **. The Designer would be responsible for electrical drafting and design activities, including the development of drawings produced in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you**:

- Adhering to the GHD delivery framework and QA requirements in the delivery of design drawings.
- Gaining experience of various drafting tools, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, software advancements, and best practices.
- Participating in design meetings and gaining experience on how to enhance project outcomes.
- Ensuring deliverables are completed as per schedule, within quality and budget.
- Ensuring that drawings are self-checked and completed in accordance with the relevant quality system procedures.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- 2+ years college diploma in electrical design and drafting or equivalent, or electrical trade background would be considered.
- Experience as a Designer/Drafter or similar role in electrical, or Instrumentation with 3+ years relevant experience (consulting industry preferred).
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD are essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work under multidisciplinary teams and meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to work alongside engineers, modelers and drafters to prepare detailed drawings utilising analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, Substation, Transmission Line and renewable power industry experience is ideal.
