**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to our Director of Operations and working closely with our manufacturing team, the WHS Officer provides advice and guidance on all WHS related matters including task analysis, injury management and workplace rehabilitation.

As WHS Officer, you will provide a hands-on, collaborative approach to all WHS matters, promote high standards of housekeeping, actively participate in the continuous improvement process, and be responsible for or contribute to:

- Assisting team leaders in managing their incident and injury reporting, investigations and follow-up processes
- Delivering safety-related awareness programs to improve safety culture and reduce incidents and injuries
- Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Implementation of Health, Safety, Wellness, Environmental and Sustainability policies and procedures, and ECB’s emergency preparedness procedures
- Compliance with legislation, codes of practice, and standards.

**Your skills and Experience**:
**Mandatory**:

- Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role in the manufacturing sector with relatable experience to the automotive industry and metal fabrication with demonstrated ability to implement and monitor compliance with site safety policies, procedures and training programs
- Current working knowledge of Queensland WHS and Workers’ Compensation legislation

**Desirable**:

- Experience implementing emergency response procedures
- First Aid and CPR certificate/s
- Forklift high-risk work licence (LF)
- Please Note: all employees will undertake a pre-employment medical._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

- Clontarf, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
