**About The Role**:
This is your opportunity to leverage your talent to influence creative direction through your product lines. Reporting to the Creative Director, working alongside a team of talented designers and collaborating as a team. This role is responsible for creative concept and the execution of designs in line with the brands vision and DNA.
**Responsibilities**:
- Taking range and concept direction from the Creative Director to design collections in line with the brand's vision and aesthetic.
- Provide seasonal research including colour trends, silhouettes, fabric direction, newness in trims and garment details, relevant to Brand DNA.
- Creating and maintaining seasonal range tracking sheets to monitor the critical path of all styles in the range.
- Develop and source new fabrications and trims in alignment with seasonal trends.
- Communicate and liaise with factories, in order to develop and produce collections in line with the expectations of the brand.
- Setting colour palettes & handing over Pantones for lab-dip request.
- Fabric, trim & accessories sign off both for sampling & bulk production.
- Creating mood boards for seasonal direction.
- Obtain design sign off from the Creative Director both for sampling and bulk in alignment with brand expectations.
- Creating CAD and technical sketches, assisting to sketch garments and maintain updated sketches for Style Files, Range Presentations etc.
- Assisting the Creative Director and design team in bringing to life the collections by ensuring the range is presented well and prepared on time prior to photoshoots.
- As required provide support to the Creative Director & Marketing team on campaign shoots - including, casting, location research, on the day planning, coordinating and assistance.
- Provide support and guidance to team peers including Assistant Designer(s), Production with daily management and communication with greater design team to ensure the design and sampling process is driven and managed in line with company timelines.
- Assess monthly sales reports and reviewing past seasons reports to determine best sellers, sell throughs and problem styles/colours to guide future range planning and design.
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of professional design experience in a similar role with design/development in women’s fashion.
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- A creative and collaborative approach to design.
- Sufficient knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction.
- Have a commercial understanding of the fashion retail market.
- Be able to grasp and understand new markets quickly.
- Experience working with offshore factories and suppliers.
- Be exceptionally well organised, be able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Be able to combine creative and technical skills.
- Advanced technical design.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign - including technical CAD drawings and storyboards.
