Bayse Brand is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Fashion Designer to join our growing team in Melbourne. This is a pivotal role for a creative leader with a commercial mindset, a deep understanding of the product lifecycle, and a sharp eye for emerging trends.

Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will take ownership of the design and development process across multiple categories, delivering elevated and wearable pieces that align with the Bayse aesthetic and meet the expectations of our global customer base.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end design and development process across seasonal collections — from concept through to final bulk delivery.

- Conduct trend research, market analysis, and competitive reviews to inform design direction and ensure strong market positioning.

- Develop cohesive ranges with a strong brand narrative, ensuring alignment with seasonal strategies and commercial objectives.

- Collaborate closely with Product Development, Production, and Buying teams to ensure garment execution meets design intent, quality standards, and timelines.

- Oversee fittings, sampling, and final approvals with an expert understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrications.

- Prepare clear and detailed tech packs using Adobe Creative Suite and ensure all documentation is accurate and on‑brand.

- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and offshore teams to manage timelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth delivery cycles.

- Work across multiple categories, managing competing deadlines with precision, clarity, and confidence.
