Full-time Assistant Manager

Currently looking for a **Full-Time Assistant Manager**to not only drive daily sales but to help lead and support the close-knit team.

**About the Role**

As Assistant Manager, you’ll be a key part of a small, close-knit team, supporting in day-to-day operations while helping shape the future of the business. You’ll provide exceptional customer service, lead by example on the shop floor, and assist in creative direction across visual merchandising, event execution and branding initiatives.

This role is ideal for a Senior Sales Associate or Assistant Manager with strong retail experience, excellent people skills, outstanding time management skills, and a genuine passion for independent fashion who is ready to take the next step in their career.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead by example in delivering premium customer service and expert styling advice.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on long-term retention.
- Support and guide team members throughout their shifts, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Confidently open and close the store, ensuring all daily operational tasks are completed accurately.
- Assist and implement visual merchandising and ensure the store consistently reflects brand standards.
- Manage stock control, including receiving deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Achieve and exceed both individual and team sales targets.
- Contribute actively to in-store promotions, seasonal launches, and special events.
- Create a warm, intuitive, and personalised in-store experience for every customer.
- Oversee store operations, including reporting and inventory management.
- Assist in training, mentoring, and developing the sales team.
- Support brand marketing efforts, including social media content, event coordination, and promotional activities.
- Help manage budgets, analyse sales data, and contribute to overall store strategy and growth.

**Role Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years' retail management experience, or 5+ years in fashion retail with readiness to step up
- Strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset
- A genuine passion for fashion, particularly Australian independent design
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- High level of organisation and time management
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer-first attitude
- Intermediate IT competency, including Microsoft 365 apps, POS systems, and confidence navigating online platforms
- Eye for visual merchandising and store aesthetics
- High attention to detail, great time management, and initiative
- A personal interest in fashion, styling and supporting local design
