**Infrastructure and Cyber Security Manager | 12 months fixed term | VIC Govt | Melbourne | Hybrid**

Our VIC govt client is looking for an Infrastructure and Cyber Security Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract, in Melbourne.

The role would lead and facilitate the transformation of an iconic Victorian institution. Transforming the technology environment this role includes a range of high profile and foundational projects over the following 12 months including
- Taking lead of the build and operational commissioning of significant new core server and storage infrastructure ($2.5M), hosted across multiple contemporary Data Centres;
- Leading the migration of critical core virtual infrastructure and corporate data (in petabytes) from the legacy infrastructure to the newly commissioned data centre hosted infrastructure;
- Decommissioning of legacy server and storage infrastructure;
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of new WAN / LAN network designs to incorporate best practice cyber security, network segregation, scalability, resilience, manageability, and sustainable life cycle management strategy and practices;
- Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of the Continual Improvement Register, including future strategic plans, and sustainable life cycle management strategy and practices;
- Provision of professional advice and strategic leadership in relation to cyber security threats, mitigations and responses; etc

**Looking for.**
- Demonstrated expertise and proven ability providing senior technical leadership and strategic management in the sustainable delivery of core infrastructure, service delivery platforms, end user compute, and a responsive Service Desk function providing clients with the first point of contact for support.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience and extensive teamwork skills at a senior level, together with the ability to collaboratively resolve problems to achieve desired outcomes and to deliver customer-focused services.
- Demonstrated extensive experience managing and contributing to technical, cybersecurity and business projects including the ability to strategically plan, negotiate schedules, priorities, and outcomes, develop plans, delegate tasks, report progress and deliver on agreed outcomes and schedules within budget.
- Demonstrated high level skills in relationship management, influencing, negotiating, consulting and communicating, both oral and written, on complex issues including effective expectations management in an environment of conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated high level of competence in developing documentation, managing procurement and selection processes, negotiating agreements and managing vendors.
- Highly developed communication skills which have been successfully used to collaborate, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels
