**About the Role**
An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Civil Works Team to contribute to the management of public places for the benefit of the community through undertaking a range of duties associated with the cleansing of Council’s public spaces and facilities.

**What you will be doing**:

- Allocate resources to the team to carry out tasks associated with the cleansing of Council’s public spaces and facilities including street sweeping and graffiti removal.
- Complete planned and reactive tasks including cleaning, pressure washing, blowing leaves and street sweeping.
- Assist with the coordination and supervision of contractors if required.
- Leadership of the team including development of rosters, completion and/or approvals of required documents, timesheets/leave requests, WHS checklists, customer and works requests.
- Drive and operate plant and equipment including daily maintenance checks and reporting of issues.
- Remove and dispose of general litter and hazardous objects/materials.
- Ensure compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Chain of Responsibility
Requirements.
- Assist in the review of guidelines and procedures including the identification of efficiencies within Council’s maintenance activities.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Drivers License (Class C or MR) - NSW
- White Card
- Demonstrate experience in the supervision and coordination of staff and contractors
- Proven experience in cleaning, knowledge of methods and procedures including high pressure
cleaning
- Chemical Safety Awareness

**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0292 Salary: Up to $77K + Superannuation + To and From Council Vehicle
