**About the Role**
This position provides quality service to the Hill’s Shire community. In this role you will lead a team involved in a variety of tasks associated with the planned maintenance and presentation of council’s parks, gardens, reserves and sporting venues.

**What you will be doing**:

- Allocate resources to the Team (labour, plant, materials and subcontractors) to maintain Council's parks and civil infrastructure.
- Ensure works are completed to an acceptable standard as per Maintenance Activity Specifications and within designated schedules.
- Ensure day-to-day management of the team and associated tasks such as completion and/or approvals of required documentation, including but not limited to, WHS checklists, Web based mobile computer systems, Units of Measure, timesheets & customer requests.
- Follow Maintenance Activity Specifications to complete a variety of tasks associated with the planned vegetation maintenance within allocated timeframes.
- Operate mowers and a range of equipment to maintain parks, gardens, sports fields and nature strips
- Prepare and maintain turf and landscaped areas
- Maintain garden areas, including rainwater gardens
- Upkeep and presentation of vegetation
- Planned cleaning of laneways.
- Resolve high level or escalated customer requests, enquiries and complaints.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to team members.
- Maintain team engagement and facilitate a culture that reflects the corporate values.
- Develop, implement and review standard operating procedures and processes.
- Assist in the training of new team members.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. Certificate III Horticulture, Greenkeeping, Landscaping or related field
2. White Card - General Construction Induction
3. Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
4. First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
5. Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans licence (or willing to obtain)
6. AQF3 and AQF4 accreditation (or willing to obtain)

**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role 9-day fortnight, W0148 Salary: Up to $80K + Superannuation + To and From Council Vehicle. You can also earn a Performance Bonus (up to 2% annual salary) + Organisational Bonus (up to $2K), Learning & Development Opportunities, Active Social Club, Rostered Days Off, Proactive Wellbeing Initiatives, Aquatic and Fitness membership discounts.
