**Description**:
This role is primarily about assisting with the daily operations of our Branch Service Centre. You will be providing a high level of face-to-face customer service for our walk-in customers and mobile sales and service technicians over our “Trade Counter”.

This is a very busy and varied role, which includes

Answering the phone, taking and keying orders
Manufacturing of hoses for walk in customers through the hose shop
Researching and buying in product locally when necessary
Picking urgent Sales and Service Technician (SST) orders immediately when necessary
Keeping SSTs informed of product availability and order progress
Stock replenishment of pick shelves
Ensure hose assembly standards and critical dimensions are achieved eg: crimp specifications, assembly length, fitting orientation

Ultimately you also get an opportunity to become a mobile sales & service technician if that is a path you wish to follow.

About the the person

**We are looking for someone with**:
NCEA Level 2 or above
Automotive apprenticeship or relevant similar
Previous experience interacting directly with customer would be beneficial
Manufacturing or assembly experience, ideally in hose & fittings
Experience in or knowledge of hydraulics
Skilled in using a range of assembly tools including crimper
Ability to learn new technical skills
Ability to effectively prioritise and manage rapidly changing workloads and deadlines
Some real trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
A willingness and flexibility to take on tasks and responsibilities "outside the square".
Good physical fitness (some heavy lifting is involved).
