**About the Role**:
The Manager, Fire Planning, Policy and Engagement is responsible for managing and coordinating a collaborative approach to fire risk management planning and policies for the DEW fire management program by working closely with key stakeholders within DEW, across government and across the emergency services, environment and other relevant sectors. The Manager is also responsible for coordinating and supporting effective communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

**Contract**:
Contract for up to 30 June 2028

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Planning, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Science or equivalent is essential.

**Special Conditions**:

- A current Class ‘C’ drivers’ licence and willingness to drive is essential, including 4WD vehicles.
- Will be required to wear appropriate PPE in accordance with Departmental policy.
- Will be required to undertake a medical and fitness assessment to a minimum standard for a Fire Fighting Role Classification as per the DEW Fire Policy and Procedures and be required to participate in emergency operations.
- Will be required to undertake intra or interstate travel which may require the incumbent to be away from home for extended periods.

**Remuneration**:
PO4 $110,696 min - $120,470 max p.a.
