Our **Energy Advisory** team are KBR’s specialists in providing early strategic, technical, and commercial advice. This is the team that is involved in bringing projects to life in critical resources such as water, clean energy, and minerals.

Whether it’s investment decision support, business case development or undertaking complex technical assessments that reduce risk and improve performance, KBR has the know how to unlock the potential to grow and reshape economic, social, and environmental landscapes. We are involved in some of the largest and most technically advanced energy transition projects in the world, with our mission to transcend siloed organisation structures and transactional relationships, to deliver true essential value to our clients.

As the team continues to grow, we are looking to bring on a Senior **Economic Advisor** to be based in our Perth office.

**The Role**

Your role will be focused on advising complex concept studies, investment funding proposals for energy transition projects (hydrogen, critical minerals) as a key member of our Energy Advisory team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Advise clients on economic decisions and efficacy of projects
- Develop modelling and data analysis to support economic appraisals (economic impact assessments, cost-benefit analyses, regulatory impact statements, discounted cash flow modelling, scenario development and modelling and real option valuation
- Solution development - Defining modelling approaches to inform complex decision making
- Study management - monitoring project timelines and budgets
- Undertake research and analysis to facilitate and inform decision making
- Producing high quality written advice on strategic topics
- Communicate data in the form of presentations, technical and non-technical reports

**About You**

Most importantly, you will be hugely passionate about energy transition and the impact you can make on our nations landscape, on our people and on our future. To be successful in the role you will also need:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics or similar
- Have great verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Power Purchase Agreements and discounted cash flow modelling for energy projects
- Experience with scenario planning and business case development for both private and public sector clients
- Experience of working within a consultancy environment is desirable
