As Finance Business Partner, you will provide effective financial planning, analysis and advice on all financial aspects for the Technology division ensuring sound financial management, with respect to financial control, general ledger and statutory reporting requirements. With a commercial leadership focus this role will ensure the appropriate structures, initiatives and processes are in place to meet targets and drive continuous improvement for the Technology business unit.
You’ll be accountable for:
- The design and implementation of segment tailored reporting services to support commercial and strategic decision making
- Identifying key performance gaps through analysis against business drivers (customers, operations, financials)
- Performance reporting, linking financial and non-financial key performance indicators and communicating results to key stakeholders to inform strategic priorities
- Leading the implementation of new financial and operational process for new business development, driving appropriate pricing outcomes and overseeing partner on-boarding and post-implementation performance tracking
- Leading all Business Unit verticals with managing investments and project reviews for the business on a timely and ongoing basis
- Identifies and develops initiatives to enhance process efficiency, performance and value of reporting mechanisms
- Managing and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure needs are understood and incorporated into finance planning
- Coaching and mentoring the team to ensure their growth, development and performance
You’ll have:
- A Graduate degree in a relevant discipline and professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA)
- 5+ years relevant professional experience with extensive financial knowledge
- Demonstrated Business Partnering experience within a large corporate organisation
- Thought leadership in managing large complex datasets and extracting key insights
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear financial analysis and advice to non-finance management teams
- A focus on process improvement with the ability to adapt and commit to continuous improvement activities
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to manage customer expectations
- Excellent communication skills to promote collaboration across Group Technology as well as the broader Finance and Business community at Qantas
- A self-starter mindset and the ability to work under time pressure with limited supervision
- Proven ability to manage and influence priorities across a broad stakeholder group
