**The Position**

Bendigo Health seeks to appoint a strategic and inspirational Chief Executive Officer to ensure the continued delivery of ‘Excellent Care, Every Person, Every time’ in this growing region of Victoria.

Reporting to the Bendigo Health Board, the CEO will lead the delivery of the current strategic plan and new clinical services plan, ensuring achievement of service delivery requirements. Building on the legacy of the outgoing CEO, Peter Faulkner, who has cultivated a strong culture that is safe, cohesive and open, the CEO will take the organisation to the next level, guiding and building a growing executive team. The incoming CEO will drive a standard of excellence in providing quality services and ensuring effective financial management. Collaborating with partners in the Loddon Mallee region is also a priority.

The successful appointee will be a contemporary and inclusive CEO, with an empowering and strategic leadership style, coupled with outstanding healthcare management experience. A collaborative leader, the CEO will bring clinical, academic and research perspectives gained in large teaching environments. The CEO will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement, well defined analytical and commercial skills in management and service delivery, coupled with the ability to work in a complex and community focused environment. Key attributes contributing to the success of this role will include exemplary people leadership, the ability to influence and a commitment to excellence resulting in better health outcomes for the community.

**The Organisation**

Bendigo Health is a leading healthcare provider in regional Victoria, known for high levels of professionalism and engagement with the community. With a catchment area covering a quarter of the size of Victoria, extending from Bendigo and including Castlemaine, Swan Hill, Echuca and Mildura, Bendigo Health treats over 50,700 in patients, 63,800 emergency cases and delivers approximately 1,850 babies each year across the region.

The organisation provides services in emergency, maternity, women’s health, medical imaging, pathology, rehabilitation, community services, residential aged care, psychiatric care, community dental, hospice/palliative care, cardiology, cancer services and renal dialysis.
