Join AFCA as a strategic advisor supporting the Executive General Manager of the Regulatory, Policy and Research (RP&R) team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development and oversight of governance frameworks that ensure AFCA’s policy work is high-quality, consistent, and evidence-based.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Overseeing AFCA’s policy governance processes, including public consultation submissions, AFCA Approaches, and the Forward-Looking Review Mechanism (FRLM)
- Driving RP&R’s contributions to strategic initiatives across AFCA
- Designing and implementing processes that align policy work with AFCA’s governance principles, strategy, and regulatory obligations

**You will also**:

- Promote consistency, accountability, and transparency in policy development
- Collaborate with internal teams, regulators (ASIC, APRA), Treasury, and external stakeholders
- Stay ahead of developments in the broader financial system

**Qualifications**
- Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in a related field
- Senior-level experience in regulatory or policy roles, ideally within financial services
- Strong understanding of financial services legislation, industry standards, and AFCA’s role in consumer redress
- Proven ability to lead complex policy and regulatory projects, including stakeholder engagement and consultation management
- Excellent communication skills and experience managing relationships and teams
- A collaborative mindset with the initiative to drive cross-functional outcomes
- Ability to navigate diverse perspectives and build consensus across stakeholders
