Information Technology Division (ITD) supports the Department of Health and Aged Care's
the underpinning technology and expertise to support the Department’s vision in the
provision of health services to Australians.

**Branch Responsibilities**
The Health Business Systems Branch is at the forefront of technological development, taking
advantage of cutting-edge technology, innovation, and transformation. The Branch is
responsible for the design, implementation, and operational management of multiple
customer-facing and business enabling systems. While working in the branch, you will have
the opportunity to work collaboratively and be provided space to work autonomously and
to specialise or focus on elements that align with their individual strengths and interests.
**Key Responsibilities**
- As a Technical Lead in the Health Business Systems Branch you will be given the unique
opportunity to contribute to delivering large digital transformation projects.

are critical to support more efficient program delivery, benefiting everyday Australians
in the compliance, regulation, and provision of healthcare in Australia.
- You will work across the branch on cloud system and service operations and
maintenance, including implementing end-to-end solutions that incorporate process,
technology and security elements, by working with native cloud services and leveraging
automation tools
**Key Capabilities**
- The right person for this role will be an experienced and committed technical lead, that
is able to lead highly complex project management work, supervise a team and develop
staff.
- You will initiate, establish, and maintain strong relationships with key internal and
external stakeholders, as well as consult externally where appropriate to drive and
implement a culture of change and continuous improvement.
- You will have proven ability and experience in influencing and communicating complex
IT solutions to senior executive stakeholders, showing how the business outcome is
delivered.
- As a leader, you will be expected to demonstrate the adaptability and flexibility required
to realign resources and shift priorities as the demand arises and support and motivate
your team to come together and excel in order to achieve organisational objectives.

**Desirable Experience**
- Minimum 4 years' experience across multiple tech/IT disciplines with specialisations or
expertise in one or more areas.
- Knowledge and experience in Scaled Agile (SAFe) or agile delivery.
- It is recommended you refer to the Australian Public Service Integrated Leadership
System framework for guidance on the capabilities and behaviours expected from the
EL1 level.
