**The Organisation**
Our client is a longstanding, family run wholesale & distribution business with a reputable name in the industry. Recent growth and expansion into new markets has lead to a focus on the continuous improvement within their warehouse operations team. They are now seeking a Warehouse Manager on a permanent basis at their new Hamilton location.

**The Role**
As the Warehouse Manager, you will report to the Managing Director and oversee 5 warehouse operators. You will take a hands-on approach in the warehouse while creating a positive work environment, overseeing all warehouse activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining a strong focus on customer service, freight and transport activities, and safety measures.

Duties will include, but not limited to;
- Supervising 4 warehouse staff members, ensuring all activities are performed efficiently.
- Liaise with other departments ensuring a high level of communication.
- Inventory management, including damages
- Organise, coordinate and direct warehouse activities ensuring work is completed on-time
- Monitor all incoming and outgoing transport.
- Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning.
- Mentor, guide and support the warehouse team
- Monitor and approve rostering, timesheets and leave requests for warehouse and logistics team

**About You**
- Proven experience in a similar position, overseeing the daily operations in a warehouse environment
- Experience and knowledge in inventory, warehousing and distribution
- Strong and proven ability to lead and direct a diverse group of employees
- Possess a current Forklift licence
- Sound working knowledge of WH&S requirements
- Excellent organisation, time-management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions
