**Join the team**

Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will be joining an experienced and highly collaborative team nationally, however you will be responsible for retail store safety across WA, SA and NT. This role is based in Perth and will be required to travel within WA, and also regular trips to SA and NT. It provides strategic technical, and functional expertise within safety management including onsite coaching to all operational teams.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

As the State Safety Manager, you will:

- Set the safety strategy for WASANT stores, in line with national strategy
- Conduct onsite investigations when an incident occurs
- Monitor site incidents - analysis and problem solving
- Conduct Risk Assessments and make recommendations
- Attend regular site visits to all WA, SA & NT stores
- Conduct site safety performance audits
- Lead, coach, and mentor the Safety Officer ( one direct report)

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety
- Knowledge of state specific OHS Legislation
- Sound knowledge of AS4801, ISO31000 and legislative provisions around duty of care and reasonably practicable
- Experience within self-insured environment including audit involvement and preparation
- Relevant experience dealing with safety regulators, notifiable incidents and navigating the incident management process
- Critical Risk experience (preferred)
- ICAM (Incident Cause Assessment Methodology) experience ( preferred - training can be provided)
