Proactive Services ensures our stores are safe, clean and pleasant to shop in. Proactive Services includes trolley collection, cleaning across the store, including amenities and waste management.

**What you’ll do**

The role aims to educate, deliver advice and expertise to implement and embed best practice processes in the Proactive Services space. Support in the continuous improvement of safety culture and reduction of workplace injuries. Implement and integrate practical and effective safety and wellbeing initiatives to promote safe workplace behaviour. Partner with Supermarkets Operations, Proactive Services and the wider Supermarkets Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SHW) team as well as other stakeholders including; W360, People and Risk teams.
- Partner with the Proactive Services and the Operations arm of the Supermarkets to coach, conduct critical control reviews and close out gaps between processes and how work is conducted
- Provide guidance and advice in relation to the use of processes, tools and methodologies to manage and demonstrate the management of risks and to complete safety plans and reporting activities
- Maintain Proactive Services team’s compliance with Safety, Health and Wellbeing regulations and regulator notices
- Investigate, report & manage on major incidents and analyze incident trends
- Provide a summary of findings to the Facility Manager and Senior Facility Managers and ensure stakeholders are adhering to safety management and related processes and systemsOn-call contact responsibilities for safety incidents (on rotation)

**What you’ll bring**

You will foster the value of inclusion of SHW considerations and controls in all management processes to champion a safety culture and a safe working environment. Working autonomously and as part of a team you will take part at the frontline to recommend improvements to operational processes.
- Tertiary qualifications in safety, health and wellbeing or other related fields or equivalent is desirable but not required
- Experience and proven track record in successfully delivering safety, health and wellbeing initiatives and programs
- Advanced writing skills for incident investigations
- Influencing and coaching skills to generate commitment to safety, health and wellbeing improvementsWell developed problem-solving skills while leading with Care and drive active safety leadership
