**Your Role**

As our Financial analyst, you’ll ensure the integrity of financial reporting and regulatory compliance at IAG. Your role uniquely supports various teams, enhancing financial reporting processes and contributing to the strategic development of IAG’s financial future. Key responsibilities include preparing year-end and half-year financial reports, assisting with half-yearly APRA reporting, participating in month-end procedures, and supporting projects to advance financial reporting capabilities. The role also focuses on continuous improvement, cross-skilling within the team, and maintaining strong relationships with key Group Finance stakeholders, all while ensuring precision and adherence to regulatory standards.

This is a permanent-term full time hybrid role, based in Sydney.

**About You**

To excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Solid demonstrated experience in financial Accounting, preferably with a Big 4 background.
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance; professional certifications like CA, CPA, or CIMA are highly valued.
- Demonstrates adaptability and a team-first mindset by sharing workloads with related teams and managers.
