**Description**:
About the role
Reporting to the CFO, in this role you will manage and develop a leading commercial function, that delivers innovative, proactive and insightful decision support and analysis to the business.
Key Accountabilities
**Assist commercial support and analysis**:
customer tenders and proposals (including considering the commercial and operational implications of contractual terms);
supporting the COO, regional leadership teams and Sales & Marketing; and
the Asset leadership with analysis and reporting.
property management;
transport contracts and tenders;
insurance renewal;
M&A transactions;
profitability analysis and reporting;
the development of strategic pricing tools and analysis;
establish and implement a commercial review program; and
support ESG initiatives.
**Skills and Experiences**:
**What we are looking for**:
Very strong commercial awareness and understanding, with superior analytical and interpretative skills.
The ability to effectively manage and deliver on multiple simultaneous priorities
Very strong ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity.
An understanding of the sales, pricing, profitability, customer activities and the commercial customer contract terms.
Significant M&A experience.
Strong hands-on and project management / implementation skills.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multi-level internal and external relationships.
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
Highly organised and detail conscious.
Experience in leading a team.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Commercial Manager role, or similar.
Demonstrated and detailed commercial experience, and modelling and systems skills.
Degree in Business, Commerce or similar (ideally, postgraduate qualifications).
Good system skills.
