At AEIOU Foundation for Children with Autism, we have a simple yet sincere goal: to provide early intervention that enables children with autism to live their best lives. It’s how we do it that sets us apart from everybody else.
AEIOU is a profit-for-purpose organisation, established in 2005 to deliver high-quality therapy and care. Our family-centred program meets the Guidelines for Good Practice and supports children with autism to develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.
**The Position**:
A crucial role within the Leadership structure at AEIOU, the Centre Manager’s role exists to ensure the success of the Centre Operations through expert business & operational management, people leadership of a transdisciplinary team, and the delivery of high-quality early intervention strategies and teaching (within the AEIOU framework) to all enrolled children and families.
The Centre Manager will form strong connections to the local community, partnering with other community groups, organisations and professionals in ways which positively promote the AEIOU brand and purpose, enhance our reputation and contribute to healthy enrolment numbers.
Our first purpose-built centre, AEIOU Nathan opened in February 2010. This centre now offers AEIOU's life-changing early intervention program to 48 children with autism. Warm and welcoming, in a leafy setting the centre has four classrooms, a motor skills room and three playgrounds, including a sensory garden which the children thoroughly enjoy exploring.
**About you**:
- Diploma (Children’s Services) or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or other relevant qualification combined with experience
- Significant experience as a People Leader, preferably as a director of an early childhood setting with accountability for workplace culture, centre budgets, WH&S compliance, implementation of ACECQA’s National Quality Standards, and workforce management
- Experience in leading, coaching and motivating staff in the provision of appropriate educational, care, and therapeutic early intervention programs
- High level digital literacy including common software tools (O365, HRIS/Payroll)
- Experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is desired
- Thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Demonstrated commitment to best practice, continuing professional and personal development.
- Current first aid certificate (HLTAID012)
- Have your COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (double-dosed) or an approved Government Exemption
- Have a current Paid Blue Card (or able to obtain before commencement)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check required if your Blue Card was applied for or renewed **post 1 February 2021**
