As an integral part of the Workers’ Compensation Product (Risk States) the position is accountable for assisting the business unit to underwrite and process Workers Compensation business in order to achieve profit, growth and retention targets in line with strategic objectives. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships (brokers, agents, clients and consultants).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Accountable for assisting the underwriting of new and renewal Workers Compensation business risks by providing processing administrative and underwriting support while operating within specific risk acceptance authorities and underwriting guidelines.
- Assisting the business unit in achieving renewal retention and profitability targets in accordance with business objectives by actively following up outstanding renewal business.
- Support Credit Services in order to obtain payment accounts with policy credit terms and action any problems before due date of payment.
- Delivery of high level customer service including consultation with and responding to customers in a timely manner.
- Provide support to maintain a renewal portfolio
- Provide support to achieving new business budget
- Ensure that all legislative regulations and guidelines are followed to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
- Achievement of National Account Business Plan and budget.

**Skills & Experience**
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in Workers Compensation claims, underwriting or general insurance
- Insurance knowledge
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple business partners to achieve corporate goals
- Excellent Customer Service
- Good verbal and written communication skills (essential)
- Strong computer skills
