**The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Underwriting Manager to join our Elders Insurance Team in Perth. You will provide underwriting, technical support, assist in the development and management of a profitable business portfolio under the specified insurance class according to the Company's guidelines and delegated authorities.

**Your new role**:
In this role, you will shoulder leadership responsibilities in managing and retaining our regional renewal portfolio. You will also be responsible for leading a team of Underwriters, upholding underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and service standards while acting as a strategic business partner for the Elders Insurance Agency Network.

Your will:

- Assume a leadership role in the meticulous management and retention of our package portfolio, ensuring strict adherence to established underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and service standards.
- Establish and maintain strategic business partnerships within the Elders Insurance Agency Network, contributing proactively to the network's overarching success.
- Lead and inspire a team of Underwriters, fostering a culture of excellence and aligning team actions with the QBE DNA

- Proven track record in underwriting, showcasing exemplary portfolio management skills.
- Exceptional leadership acumen, capable of motivating and guiding a team towards collective success.
- Profound understanding of underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and service standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, crucial for cultivating effective partnerships.
- technical expert in identifying issues and opportunities within the specified insurance class.
