Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of tax returns
- Up to date knowledge of taxation law
- Reconciling client bank and credit card accounts
- Processing invoices, expense claims and payroll entries
- Producing financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Ensuring compliance with GST and other statutory obligations
- Working with Accountants to ensure procedures are followed and refined as needed
- Administration duties (incoming calls, appointment bookings, ATO communications, credit control)

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper / tax preparer
- Good understanding of accounting software (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks)
- Experience with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Strong communication skills
