About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site General Manager who is a dynamic leader capable of managing diverse responsibilities while ensuring safe operational excellence and team development.
You will possess a comprehensive understanding of open pit coal mining processes, coupled with strong leadership skills.

Reporting into and supporting our Regional General Manager, QLD, you will contribute to the profitability of the business through the effective management of the operations, health safety and environment, asset management, coal processing and commercial functions. You will develop and execute plans to ensure budget targets are met while ensuring both internal and external expectations are met.

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field, or relevant work experience; and relevant QLD supervisory qualifications.
- Postgraduate business qualifications (desirable)
- Meet obligations of a Site Senior Executive, or a person named in a senior position under s55 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999
- Proven experience as a Coal Open Pit Operations or Technical Services Mine Manager with extensive expertise in production, haulage, drill and blast, leadership, and training.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of building high-performance teams.
- Ability to analyse data, make informed decisions, and drive operational improvements.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and sustainable mining practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in budget management and cost control.
