**The Company**
OneFortyOne is a forestry and sawmill business. Our clients operate throughout the Green Triangle region of Australia and the Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough regions of New Zealand (Top of the South).
OneFortyOne manages over 160,000 hectares (ha) of land including pine plantation and conservation areas. The timber processed at the OneFortyOne Jubilee and Kaituna sawmills is turned into products that help people build and renovate their homes, construct fences on their farms, and support the landscaping in their gardens.
OneFortyOne is a significant regional employer, employing more than 500 people directly and over 3,000 indirectly as contractors.
**The Role**
This role will be responsible for supporting the maturing of the company’s sustainability framework and broader ESG reporting while cultivating environmental leadership. To achieve sustainability objectives and targets, the role will support all business streams in considering proactive ESG related practices and reporting, particularly regarding the environment and emissions.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, this role works collaboratively with leaders and external partners to drive continual improvement and proactively support a positive sustainability culture across the organisation.
In addition, you will:
- Oversee and advise on strategic ESG issues, by keeping up to date with external sustainability and ESG trends, processes, and benchmarks as well as legislation, standards and codes of practice that will impact on OneFortyOne.
- Facilitate the development and delivery of enterprise ESG strategies and targets.
- Support and track the implementation and progress of key ESG initiatives.
- Promote the awareness of sustainability within OneFortyOne.
- Promote cross business coordination and alignment in key ESG areas.
- Interface with site-based environmental professionals and leadership teams to identify issues and ensure consistency in ESG management across the organisation.
- Build and maintain external relationships and monitor stakeholder expectations.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of systems and processes to monitor and track progress towards ESG targets.
- Coordinate executive and senior management sustainability reviews, including preparing agenda, coordinating papers, and managing actions. This includes preparation and oversight over enterprise sustainability and ESG reporting.
- Coordinate (in liaison with the Committee chair) agenda, papers of the Environmental component of Health Safety and Environment Committee.
**About You**
You have a broad range of practical experience (5+ years) and understanding of issues across ESG principles and frameworks. In addition, you have a strong interest in Environment and can successfully coordinate environmental activities. Your sustainability knowledge and business acumen enable you to make recommendations on how to successfully measure and report on metrics, and in turn guide how the business makes commercial decisions based on ESG outcomes.

Ideally, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Sustainability, Environmental Science/Management or similar).
- Experience in developing and implementing Sustainability strategies.
- Practical experience and knowledge of Sustainability reporting, particularly GRI requirements
- Carbon footprinting, GHG assessments, resource modelling and/or climate change risk assessment skills are desirable.
- Interest or experience in emerging sustainability areas such as biodiversity, circular economy, climate change adaptation and resilience.
- Exceptional engagement skills and ability to collaborate with diverse roles and skill sets.
- Valid passport and ability to travel throughout the year (4-6x) to corporate office (Melbourne), Mt. Gambier, and New Zealand operations as required.
