**Position Overview**
The role of a Training and Employment Coordinator is a dynamic and influential role, where no two days are the same. This role supports the creation of future apprenticeship opportunities for young people and mature aged jobseekers. As a Training and Employment Coordinator, you will join a supportive and encouraging team who genuinely care about their community, local businesses, and apprentices.
This role will suit someone looking for their next challenge where they can help shape a person’s future, and support local businesses with their skilled staffing needs. This is an extremely rewarding role centred around relationship management and business development.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The full-time Training and Employment Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining effective customer relationships with both apprentices / trainees and local businesses.
- Overseeing and supporting all aspects of an apprentice’s lifecycle, including commencement, work-based performance, training delivery and completion.
- Providing support and mentorship to apprentices and trainees.
- Managing a caseload of apprentices and trainees across Toowoomba and surrounds.
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive client base to support the engagement of apprentices and trainees.
- Maintaining records within the apprenticeship management system.
**Skills, Abilities and Experience**
- Knowledge or an interest in the employment / apprenticeship sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise workload, and work autonomously.
- Ability to promote apprenticeships, trade training and Golden West’s services to the local community.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable work style.
- Sound computer skills, particularly in Microsoft office.
- An open car driver’s licence.
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations (including booster) or a valid exemption prior to commencement.
- Working with Children Check or ability to obtain prior to commencement.

In partnership with our host employers, we employ apprentices and trainees in all trade industries across the Darling Downs, Central and South West regions of Queensland. We are committed to connecting local apprentices and trainees with quality and meaningful employment.

**Salary**: $60,280.45 - $96,969.01 per year
