
Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

The Austin Vet Specialists is looking for an Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Surgery to help expand the Surgery department.
The daily work will involve collaborative care for Surgery patients at The Austin Vet Specialists and accepting Surgery consults from referring veterinarians during our Specialist Clinics' hours of operation (8 am - 6 pm). Rotation through a weekend roster is required.
About The Austin:
The Austin is a fast-growing, independently owned referral centre. We started with 20 people in 2022 and have grown to almost 85 full-time team members, with more growth to come in 2025. The Surgery Department consists of two board-certified Specialist Surgeons (DipECVS), one resident and two interns, and a full complement of surgery nurses.
The Surgery department is supported by two specialists in Internal Medicine (ACVIM and ECVIM) and three radiologists (ECVDI, ACVR, and FANZCVS), two clinicians in Ophthalmology (FANZCVS and board-eligible ECVO) as well as residents, interns, hospital vets, and an amazing team of nurses. Our entire team is carefully hand-picked for their attitude to patient care and ability to work together.
The purpose-built hospital (1200m2) has all the instruments necessary to enable our specialists to relish their chosen careers and flourish.

You must be eligible for Veterinary Specialist Registration in South Australia, which requires a Diploma from the ECVS, ACVS, or FANZCVS.
