New Hope Group is a majority Australian owned and operated diversified energy company which has been proudly based in Southeast Queensland for more than 60 years. With a core focus on coal, we also have interests in agriculture, oil, and port.

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Officer who is keen to make a difference in an agile organisation. This role would suit a highly motivated HR professional who will deliver their responsibilities whilst engaging with stakeholders.

As our HR Officer, you will be a true generalist supporting our HR, Corporate and Operations teams. You will provide timely HR support within onboarding and HR systems administration, reporting and other general HR activities to support the deliverables of the team.

You will have experience within a HR function (mining or heavy industry advantageous) whilst looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and expand your HR knowledge and accountabilities. Based in our corporate office in Brisbane, you will also have the opportunity to travel across our various operations.

**About the role**:
As the **HR Officer, **you will**:

- Manage corporate onboarding/offboarding and inductions
- Build and foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through day to day HR activities
- HR administration and systems maintenance of online learning platform (ELMO)
- Assist HR reporting activities
- Contribute as a team member to successfully deliver HR accountabilities, including HR projects and improvement initiatives

**You will bring**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (or working towards) or related relevant experience
- Positive attitude and initiative - we love solutions focussed people
- Ability to work autonomously and as an engaged team member of a productive team
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Demonstrated experience in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems, improve process and document outcomes
