**Role Purpose**
As the OHS Manager you will be based at a private healthcare facility in the inner suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. This full-time position will see you overseeing the OHS function for this large hospital with a lot of moving parts and speciality units and practices.

As the leader of this experienced 4-person team, you will provide the strategic direction and support the hospital leaders with continuously effective OHS strategy and practices. Your approach will be to provide support, “no blame” approach with robust systems and ongoing improvements to the day to day running of the hospital. You will be able to lean on the corporate OHS team for group strategy and key projects.

Your role will see you:

- Manage the OHS function and provide effective direction to the team
- Drive a continually improving Safety Culture through the 5-year strategy plan developed by you and the team
- Provide support and care to the teams and leaders within the organisation
- Ensure full OHS compliance and best practice across the board
- Lead and support development and implementation of systems, initiatives, risk management processes. Etc
- Gain guidance and advanced initiatives from the Group OHS & Wellbeing Manager
- Participate in audits and investigations pertaining to WHS

- Qualification in WHS or a relevant healthcare / medical / relevant qualification is required
- Proven background in leading an OHS function
- Excellent engagement and communication style at all levels
- Organised approach and ability to implement, review and improve initiatives
- Looking for a supportive approach - No blame philosophy - collaborative - caring
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workload and effectively drive projects from conception to completion within set timeframes
- Passion to create a safe working environment for all
