**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and legislation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and collaborate with the OHS Manager to recommend and implement effective control measures.
- Support the OHS Manager in promoting a strong safety culture by providing guidance and support to project managers, site supervisors, and employees on OHS practices.
- Participate in incident investigations, record findings, and contribute to the development of strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Assist in delivering OHS training programs and workshops to enhance employees’ understanding of safety protocols and promote safe work practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to OHS, and assist in updating the company’s policies and procedures accordingly.
- Support the maintenance and calibration of safety equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the OHS team, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing OHS documentation.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant qualification or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an OHS coordination or support role, preferably within the commercial construction and concrete industries.
- Sound knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Familiarity with construction processes and associated safety risks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using OHS management software and tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently or as part of a team.
