**The Role**
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our dynamic Directorate within the Corporate Graphics and Branding team. The Graphic Design Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual direction of the Corporate Graphics and Branding team. You will be working across digital and print platforms, both autonomously and within teams, to deliver strategically aligned design solutions.

You will work closely with the Corporate Graphics leadership team to guide our customers in new communication opportunities for external and internal audiences.

Key aspects of the role will include:

- Delivering highly effective and engaging graphic design solutions.
- Managing the design process workflow from initial client consultation through to delivery.
- Maintaining excellent Adobe Creative Cloud technical skills - including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Leading and mentoring a small team to deliver quality outcomes.
- Producing WCAG 2.1 AA compliant artwork.

**About our Team**
The Corporate Graphics team sits within the Directorate of Communications, Change and Corporate Graphics. The Directorate has a diverse portfolio and works closely with teams across the organisation to deliver quality customer outcomes. Our Directorate portfolios include communications, organisational change management, corporate web publishing, graphic design, Defence branding and Business Management System sustainment.

Corporate Graphics provides digital design, print design, and branding support to the Defence Enterprise. Corporate Graphics has a wealth of corporate design experience, and is geographically dispersed across the country.

With a strong history in print design, the team is also expanding its digital design capabilities - namely through video production, animation, and interactive design. Corporate Graphics also governs the Defence brand identity, providing guidance, and brand asset development and management.

The Design Lead role will embrace the team’s corporate knowledge and skills, and help shape the future graphic design direction and customer expectations of Corporate Graphics.

You will have a demonstrated ability to work across a range of stakeholders to provide specialist graphics and design advice. You will collaborate with our customers to deliver strategically aligned design solutions.

You will have the responsibility of managing and mentoring small creative teams, encouraging their development and design thinking. Alongside our other Graphic Design Lead, you will work closely with the Assistant Director Corporate Graphics and Branding, and the Production Manager, to guide our customers in new communication opportunities for external and internal audiences.
