**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The purpose of this role is to pro-actively and effectively manage claims and injury management aspects of a caseload of high-risk significant workers’ compensation claims within the legislation and achieve compliance with the Performance Measures. The position also involves leading and supervising the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a high performing and customer-responsive team.

This will be a **Permanent** position based in the **Newcastle King St **office, with flexibility to work from home.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure team members achieve performance and KPI targets as set out under the BU performance framework.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation. Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends and respond effectively to changes.
- Ensuring appropriate strategies are in place to maximise performance revenue, report and use the insights.
- Driving the EML values and culture through people leadership and engagement. People leadership responsibilities including providing coaching, guidance, direction, communication, development and managing resourcing within the team.

**ABOUT YOU**
- High level of resilience and a willingness to hold complex conversations
- A positive and pro-active attitude
- Demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role, working within in in a fast-paced business environment
- Qualification aligned to Business, Commerce, Personal Injury Management or Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology or Exercise Sciences) advantageous.
- Minimum intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office suite
