**About Us**

**Enterprise Technology** is a branch of the Investment and Technology division which defines investment strategy and deliver commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes within the department.

The Service Operations team in Enterprise Technology focuses on delivering IT services that unite people, processes and systems to form an integrated, high performing and efficient Department of Transport. The team thrives on working collaboratively with its stakeholders to achieve exceptional results for the department.

**About the Role**

The Enterprise Platform Specialist role is responsible for providing end to end management of strategic platforms across DoT such as Azure, AWS, M365, ServiceNow and WoVG API platform. The Platform Owner/Manager is the single operational co-ordination point for platform functions including Governance, Commercial, Policy, Service Management, Operations, Delivery and Support.

On behalf of the platform governance authority, the Platform Owner/Manager ensures consistency, efficiency, extensibility, scalability, supportability, maintainability in platform design, implementation and commercial approaches.

**Key Accountabilities**
- A single co-ordination point for all operational functions related to the platform including Governance, Commercial, Policy, Service Management, Operations, Delivery and Support.
- Making day to day decisions related to the platform in accordance with agreed policy positions of the Platform Governance Authority.
- ** **Ability to make day to day decisions related to the platform in accordance with architecture applicability, using cases, strategic architecture governance, principles, standards & patterns Keeping abreast of and respond to emerging issues, internally and externally that may influence or impact on the delivery or development of technical services.
- ** **Ensuring sufficient resources are available to run the platform and meet the agreed service levels and requirements.
- Ability to form a multidisciplinary team that integrate seamlessly to design, develop, operate and manage the platform.
- ** **Understanding end to end platform commercial aspects including funding needs and co-ordinates licensing, demand management, subscriptions, billing and cross-charging.

**Key Selection Criteria**

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Expertise and experience in designing, developing and delivering IT capabilities across a wide range of IT disciplines. Current knowledge of trends across the technology industry and how to leverage these to deliver effective and cost-efficient IT services. Ability to provide trusted advice on IT issues to senior stakeholders across DTP.
- Ability to independently build, nurture and manage multi-disciplinary teams across end-to-end platform lifecycle functions including governance, commercial, policy, service management, operations, delivery and support.
- Exceptional stakeholder relationship management skills including the ability to negotiate and influence decisions at senior leadership levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to lead multiple objectives and activities within a large program using effective judgement in prioritisation and planning to deliver an agreed scope of work, within agreed timeframe and budget, to achieve desired outcomes.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

**Mandatory**
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent.

**Desirable**
- SAFe Certification
- Project/Program Management Certification
- Experience in one or more of the strategic platforms
