The Delivery and Information (D&I) team ensures the sustained health and maintenance of UniSuper’s core systems and platforms - to provide high availability, stability and performance. We remain committed to partner with business units to provide business driven scale and simplification, guidance and delivery of the Enterprise Portfolio and technologies required to enable business capabilities and support the execution of UniSuper’s Strategy.

**The role**

The Enterprise Observability team resides within the Information Security division, and is accountable for running, improving, maturing the observability practice for UniSuper.

As the Observability Specialist, your role is to partake in this endeavour by, and not limited to, the below:

- Owning, managing, and supporting the strategical observability, monitoring, and SIEM platforms and tools (such as Splunk Cloud, ITSI and Enterprise Security)
- Working with various teams to provide the monitoring and observability capabilities to help ensuring the health of UniSuper systems and processes
- Assisting the Information Security team with cyber security related efforts
- Taking part in service management activities and troubleshooting efforts
- Maximising the use of enterprise platforms, while maturing the practice and the offering it provides

**About you**

- Perform Splunk-related administrative task such as data ingestion, knowledge objects configuration, and performance optimisation.
- Leverage Splunk (including ITSI and Splunk Observability Cloud) and other tools to develop observability, monitoring, and analytics deliverables in the form of:

- ITSI services and KPIs
- Dashboards, reports and alerts
- Synthetic monitoring, RUM and APM
- Collaborate with the wider Information Security team to ensure that necessary logs are being ingested into Splunk
- Leverage your analytical and troubleshooting skills to assist with problem management, root-cause analysis, and incident response (which may include security incidents)
- Partake in various cyber security activities such as investigations, use case development, vulnerability management, and auditsEnsure the health of the tools/platforms under the team’s management, including after-hours (on-call roster)
