**Here's a taste of what you'll be doing**:

- **Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, you will be m**anaging the daily operations** of our QLD business territory. This will include:

- **Taking responsibility for equipment returns**, ensuring all vehicle hire returns processes and procedures are completed and reported comprehensively
- **Preparing all equipment for hire**, ensuring accuracy and compliance to statutory inspection dates and services
- **Managing and coordinating equipment delivery and handover** to customers including familiarisation training for new customers and drivers
- **Conducting vehicle acquisitions and disposals,** ensuring these processes are administered in a compliant manner and with mínimal risk to the business
- **Managing fleet maintenance and repair** to deliver on-time and compliant servicing of vehicles
- **Coordinating and managing team members, contractors** and suppliers to provide timely, quality results to our customers.

**Here's what it takes**:

- **Experience in managing or coordinating the daily operations of large fleets**, ideally in the vehicle or plant hire industry.
- **A heavy vehicle driver licence.** HR, HC or MC licences will all be considered. We can also support you to obtain your HC or MC licence upon appointment.
- **Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification** and mechanical aptitude are advantageous, but **not essential**:

- **Knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance,** safe work practices, and heavy transport law, including Chain of Responsibility (COR) and dangerous goods transport.
- **Strong leadership skills (of yourself and others)**, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- **Ability to work autonomously**, handle pressure, and solve problems effectively
