The Opportunity
Pittwater Palms Retirement Village is a welcoming community set amongst delightful tropical gardens, and conveniently located in Sydney’s northern beaches for all that coastal living has to offer. Joining the team as our Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, upkeep and gardening tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with the Community Manager and fellow team members, you will ensure the overall village is well-maintained and presentable. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, a mix of hands-on light repairs, getting their hands dirty gardening and loves working in a small team.
This opportunity is a permanent Full-time working Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.00pm

You will
- Attend to various maintenance requests around the village (basic domestic repair tasks)
- Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks (e.g high-pressure cleaning, smoke alarm checks and bins etc.)
- Use our system app to log, track and record the progress of jobs completed
- Assist around the village by setting up for functions and driving our minibus
- Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team

What you'll bring
- Skilled in domestic repair tasks and/or gardening tasks (e.g using tools, painting, mowing etc.)
- A genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors and hands-on who will enjoy chatting with residents
- Valid driver's licence (required)
- Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
- Two COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required)
