**About the role**
- This a field-based role travelling out of Perth.
- Even time roster: 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off
Santos is looking to appoint (2x) Field Trainers based in our Perth Operations, reporting to the Competency Assurance Lead WA&NT, this position will efficiently and effectively deliver the Santos Competency Based Training Program to field based operations and maintenance personnel for the WA & NT assets Onshore and Offshore Division. This role will require the successful individual to travel to respective assets when on roster.
**Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Delivering classroom and field based on-the-job training to Santos (and embedded contractor) operations and maintenance personnel.
- Scheduling and performing assessments to the required standards.
- Providing support to the Training team for the ongoing review and development of Santos learning and assessment resources to ensure the currency and relevancy of that material.
- Providing guidance, training, mentorship and support to apprentices and trainees working in field locations to assist in their development to become effective team members.
- Contributing to the process of training needs analysis
- Working collaboratively and flexibly with operations and maintenance teams to deliver required training whilst minimizing disruption to daily activities.
- Training and coaching field-based personnel in the use of the Learning Management System to support CBT compliance.
- Driving a culture of training compliance within the operational workforce
- Working collaboratively with other CBT field trainers to ensure consistent delivery of training
- Working independently in remote field locations with limited supervision
- Identifying opportunities to streamline training offerings and assessment methods to drive a continuous improvement program within CBT, embracing technological change
- Adhere to company standards and processes (for example, governance, risk management and EHS.
**About you**
- Operations Experience working in Offshore, Upstream and/or Midstream.
- Cert III in PMA Process Plant Operations or higher.
- Cert IV TAE with proven assessor experience.
- Permit Authority
- Experience working with Apprentices and trainees.
- Working in the Office 365 environment including Sharepoint.
- Good collaborative, influential and team-oriented approach.
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexible, adaptable, and resilient in working within a dynamic environment and meeting business demands.
