**The opportunity**
The primary purpose of an Infrastructure Support and configuration analyst is to ensure that the production environment hosting the core banking system remains stable to support our stakeholders and customers. The role is required to coordinate with Bank business and external vendors and ensure effective services to ensure reliability of NTBS in production environment. The role requires critical configuration support to be provided for the core banking system (NTBS) by filtering, prioritising, analysing and resolving infrastructure and configuration related issues.
**How you will make an impact**
- Provide Tier 2 support for all Bank related issues/calls logged via ServiceNOW relating to environment and configuration
- Manage backlog, including: prioritisation, work allocation, scheduling etc.
- Monitor all alerts and escalate all issues for all procedures and systems
- Provide operational support to all production practices (holidays and weekends depending on a roster)
- Tracking of tickets in ServiceNOW to ensure that the service level agreements are met and are under control
- Maintain logs of all issues and ensure resolutions according to quality assurance tests for all production processes
- Consult and liaise with the Engineering / extended Bank IT teams to understand where hand off’s need to occur and to improve NTBS system capabilities.
- Provide communication advice, follow-up/updates in relation to work requests
- Work within and across teams by actively supporting team members, building relationships, and sharing knowledge
- Participate in the triaging process during service restoration activities (24x7). Ensure that the services are restored within agreed SLAs and impacts to business processes / end customers are analysed and communicated to the stakeholders
- Ensuring that the patching cycle completes every month and ensuring the patching compliance of Bank related infrastructure meets and exceeds the enterprise guidelines
**What you will bring to the role**
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management Process with respect to IT Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management etc.
- Experience with demonstrated experience in all aspects of production support role
- Hands on experience working on C# / SQL Server (2017)
- Demonstrated ability to leverage appropriate technical tools to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis, and service restoration (such as backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring)
