**The Role**
AGO is seeking highly motivated, innovative, adaptable and experienced remote sensing sensor and collection specialists to fill vacancies at various levels in the Collection Futures Directorate with the Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO). You will be part of the team that will enable our organisation to achieve and further improve our mission outcomes and make a difference to Australian national security.
**EL1 - Assistant Director - Sensor Development & Support**
This role will lead and manage a sensor development and support section in support of Australia’s Defence and National interests. You will be responsible for leading and managing a section that develops and integrates future innovative sensor and collection solutions for the organisation. You will drive and further develop AGO’s sensor collection capabilities through developing innovative solutions to complex problems and coordinating a broad range of sensor focused programs. You will engage with a wide range of customers and stakeholders to support mission outcomes and provide authoritative advice. You will report to Director Collection Futures and senior executives to communicate program outcomes. You will develop, coach and mentor team members to realise their individual and collective potential.
**APS 6 - Team Leader - Sensor Specialist - Sensor Development & Support**
This role will lead and manage a sensor development and support team in support of Australia’s Defence and National interests. You will be responsible for progressing discrete sensor focused initiatives as part of a broader program. You will lead and manage a small team of specialists to develop technology based solutions to complex problems. You will develop and provide authoritative advice to the organisation across a broad range of sensor and collection related areas.
**APS 5 - Sensor Specialist - Sensor Development & Support**
This role will is responsible for the research, development and implementation of discrete sensor focused initiatives in support of Australia’s Defence and National interests. You will be part of a high-performing team developing technology based solutions. You will communicate sensor technology outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders.

**Collection Futures Directorate**
The Collection Futures Directorate is a high performing Directorate that develops innovative sensor solutions to GEOINT problems, provides sensor advice to stakeholders, develops organisational policy regarding use of imagery and engages broadly with government and industry to support the efficient and effective operation of AGO’s collection capability. We creatively solve collection challenges with innovative approaches and cutting-edge sensor solutions.
