**About the role**:
Lithgow small arms facility designs, develops and manufactures a range of small arms for the civilian and military market place.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring top-quality products in our manufacturing production line. Provide specialist quality control and assurance, support the Operations Manager and Manufacturing Team, and contribute to improved customer satisfaction.
- Conduct scheduled daily batch control quality sampling inspections within manufacturing cells
- Prepare and undertake process confirmations, providing evidence of control checks and writing reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the production line, collaborating with the Continuous Improvement (CI) team to develop and deploy LEAN improvements, such as knack points, standard work, and quality checks
- Maintain a positive relationship with production management and operational staff, fostering open communication and collaboration
- Analyse and manage quality records to support continuous improvements
- Conduct investigations to identify root causes of quality issues in the production line, raising non-conformance reports (NCs) and ensuring timely action and consideration of improvements
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards

**How About You?**
- Trade Certificate in Machining / Toolmaking or equivalent experience within a similar role
- Demonstrated understanding of quality controls in a manufacturing production environment
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders of all levels
- Previous experience in metrology, qualify / auditing and/or manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous

**Good to Know**

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
