**Core objectives include**:

- Examine the legal issues related to new products and services.
- Prepare the appropriate legal documents for trial or court proceedings
- Document preparation
- General file management
- Diary management
- Other legal administrative duties.
- Dealing with clients and client queries in an efficient and appropriate manner;
- Liaising with barristers, clients, Principals, Lawyers and other staff;
- Taking detailed and accurate messages as required from clients and prospective clients where necessary;
- Undertaking general office duties (filing, photocopying etc.);
- Time recording and preparing detailed bills and disbursement accounts using Aderant;
- Providing Lawyer(s) with feedback as to the status of work.

**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent literacy and communication skills.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Polished legal administration skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative ability.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word for Windows, knowledge of PowerPoint and internet web skills.
- Some knowledge of the workplace relations, employment, and safety area of law but not essential.
