**About the Role**

We're looking for an Impairment Benefits Specialist to join our team This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which embodies GB's incredible culture and a chance to work alongside some of the most talented Impairment Benefits professionals in the industry and learn from the very best Whether you're an IB expert or looking to move into the IB space, we are excited to offer you a tailored onboarding and training experience and see your career grow with us.

As an Impairment Benefits Specialist, you will be a point of expertise within GB’s Workers Compensation team relating to Impairment Benefits and Permanent Impairment claims.

In this highly technical role, you will complete thorough assessments of Impairment claims for injured workers, supplementary to their primary claim, with acute attention to detail and sound decision making within Workers Compensation legislative frameworks.

**Responsibilities**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing a professional and customer focused claims service for all injured workers through managing impairment claims in accordance with legislation
- Acting as a technical reference point for other team members regarding impairment benefit queries
- Ensuring impairment assessments are accurate and complying with relevant legislation if and when required
- Attending internal and external training courses to update technical knowledge and personal development

Qualifications:
**About you**

We’re looking for claims experts who possess:

- Experience within Worker’s Compensation Industry, specifically within an Impairment Benefits related role, or have completed Impairment Benefits training
- Experience in client service role
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Industry specific qualifications: VWA and TAC Industry Training Programs are desirable
- Excellent customer service skills, communication and interpersonal skills
