Use your P6 Primavera experience to build schedules during studies phase of projects in the mining sector.

**Your new company**

Our client is among the world’s top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.

**Your new role**

You will work under the direction of the superintendent in the strategic planning and studies team, you’ll be working on a portfolio of projects in the various stages of the studies phase.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing a baseline schedule for your nominated projects.
- Identify potential risks and changing developments to assist with the projects schedule.
- Report on updates and progress of developments to key stakeholders.
- Identify and manage cost control to ensure budgets are maintained and reflect initial estimates.
- Advise on continual improvements to optimise work practices and procedures.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Have extensive knowledge and experience in the use of P6 Primavera, having implemented these practices in previous employment in the heavy industries.
- Have prior experience in scheduling and managing timelines in a project setting.
- Basic knowledge in mining with an in-depth understanding of construction knowledge
- Ability to follow timeframes needed to meet/manage deadlines.
- Great communication skills with the ability to liaise and work alongside internal and external stakeholders regarding project deliverables.
- Team player with the ability to work cohesively with other counterparts with the ongoing development of the project - Experience with cost control management
- You will be currently residing in South Australia or willing to travel interstate at your own expense.
- You will have full working rights in Australia.
