**About the Division**

The Leadership Excellence Division delivers high quality leadership professional learning to school leaders at all levels. The professional learning portfolio managed and delivered by the Division includes career stage programs, leadership development programs, capability and disposition development, training programs and coaching and mentoring services. The Division is also responsible for implementation of the Victorian Aspiring Principal Assessment (VAPA). The Division's leadership programs are aligned with the Academy Leadership Excellence Framework, which sets out the practices, capabilities and domains of excellence in educational leadership. All programs are designed in line with high quality professional learning principles.

The Leadership Excellence Division works closely with other Academy Divisions to enable seamless participant support and customer service, efficient learning space and technology management and coordinated statewide program delivery.

**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity exists for you as the Team Leader, Middle Leaders Program to lead a sub-team within the division that is responsible for coordinating the contracting, program management and delivery of high-quality professional learning programs to teachers and school leaders.

You will support this work through coordination within a matrix model in which staff work across teams at the Academy, and through mentoring, coaching and managing staff to achieve positive outcomes in program leadership.

The Team Leader provides strategic thought leadership and drives innovation, leading strategic priorities for the team and Division. Alongside leadership of people, you will also lead a subset of the work of the division. The role will also facilitate clear communication and coordination of activities between teams.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Lead and develop a high performing team dedicated to delivering an exceptional participant experience.
- Provide ongoing development and training to your team ensuring they are across any updates to key policies or procedures.
- Build team cohesion with your team and others within the Academy and its partners to ensure a high-quality service experience.
- Bring your expertise in leading a high performing team and provide insight to opportunities for improvement in processes and system enhancements.
- Work with other divisions to support design, procurement and customer relationship management elements from program inception and throughout the program's life cycle
- Provide guidance to the team as needed.
- Utilise data to drive informed decisions for improved outcomes.

You must possess the ability to navigate complex issues and make decisions that impact staff and stakeholders both within and beyond your immediate work area. Your capacity for collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and cultivating genuine relationships will be pivotal for your success. You will also be able to manage people effectively, foster team development, and deliver tangible outcomes.

**Desirable**Qualifications and Experience**
- Essential: Experience leading staff in complex environments with demonstrated experience building positive internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification/s in a relevant field.

**Further Information**

This position is fixed term to 31 December 2025 and is remunerated at VPS5.2
