Medical Receptionist

PRIMARY DETAIL- Salary Package: $62,414.00 p.a. + 11.5% super- Appointment Type: Part-time, 2 year fixed-term position- Location: Macquarie University Clinic Building (Wallumattagal Campus), Macquarie Park - This is a part time position working Monday to Thursday from 8am until 1pm._ Key Accountabilities include: - Manage daily business and administrative operations of the clinic to ensure they are efficient, patient-focused and consistent.- Providing customer service, making appointments and answering enquiries from patients, medical practitioners and clinical trials staff including managing patient flow during clinic sessions- Provide administrative support to the clinical trial unit and medical oncology clinics- Monitoring incoming calls, scanning and uploading of patient documents- Effectively communicate with patients, carers, colleagues and clinicians- Ensuring accurate data entry of patient information into the patient management system, preserving confidentiality and privacy of all patient information and records- Assisting clinicians in managing their inpatient and day-stay hospital work- Ensuring patients are billed and receive receipts in a timely manner- Maintain and manage Medicare and Health Fund updates and billings- Liaise with other clinics, hospitals and allied health professionals to acquire comprehensive patient information and provide exceptional patient coordination- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other MQ Health staff and teams as relevant, including allied health staff at working at the clinic- Perform any other duties as directed. About You You will be a professional individual. Previous reception experience would be well regarded. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing patients with excellent customer service in every interaction. You will possess exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
