MyHealth Macquarie Centre is seeking a personable, highly organised and professional team member to join their close knit reception team. We are a well established General Practice in Macquarie Shopping Centre, Macquarie Park. We are looking for someone who is experienced and ideally to work 3 to 4 days week especially Thursdays and Fridays.

The Medical Receptionist provides quality services to our doctors and patients, ensuring daily operations are delivered efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and reliable, who is looking for a long-term career in Medical Reception. Opportunities are available for career advancement.

Previous experience in a general practice setting would be seen favourably.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Clear verbal skills with professional telephone manner
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience using Best Practice (preferred but not necessary)
- Ability to multi task under pressure with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High standard of personal integrity to maintain patient/doctor confidentiality
- Empathetic understanding and have the ability to provide the utmost respect and support for all patients and clinicians

**The position will involve**:

- Providing vital front line reception and administration support to this busy practice
- Organising referrals and appointment bookings
- Being first point of contact for all queries
- Assisting clinicians with photocopying, filing, data entry, referral letters, scanning etc.
- Completing ad-hoc tasks when required
- Supporting the practice manager with reporting or compliance
- General cleaning
- An understanding of infection control procedures and cold chain management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
