**About the Role**
The purpose of the role is to Provide analysis and insights on key performance indicators to drive effectiveness across the schemes of General Insurance & Care (GI&C). Source, compile, and distribute data, information and reporting relating to the performance of IfNSW & HBCF to enable insights to be communicated, trends to be monitored, and for benchmarks/targets to be determined/adjusted.

**Duties**
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Performance Insights Specialist you will:
- Support in the ongoing development and delivery of performance reporting which focusses on providing visibility of operational efficiency and the progress of achieving established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and outcomes to inform GI&C decision making.
- Engage stakeholders to gather business requirements, specifications, and data to support the design, development and enhancement of GI&C operational and scheme performance business intelligence dashboards, monitoring tools and performance report(s).
- Assist in the successful administration of a framework for the collection, collation, presentation and distribution of related data, documentation and information relating to GI&C performance outcomes to support accurate and comprehensive performance reporting, and the ability to monitor trends against targets. Enabling users of the reports to make informed decisions.
- Conduct the analysis of data and identify trends of emerging potential issues and opportunities, and where required liaise with relevant stakeholders to obtain further information to support and enable the analysis and quantification of potential impacts on an on-going basis.
- Generate ad-hoc reporting and business insights with meaningful commentary on trends, patterns and insights for senior executives and relevant committees.
- Assist in driving data governance by identifying and escalating data quality issues and inconsistencies related to business performance to Business Technology and relevant teams.
- Identify opportunities within current performance management process to further uplift functional performance maturity and culture.
**Skills & Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in developing detailed requirements of data capture and reporting needs.
- Demonstrated experience of using statistical methods to describe or make inferences about data.
- Competent with current reporting tools and database languages (preferred experience with Qlik).
- Ability to communicate insights and results of data analysis through reports, dashboards, and presentations, in a manner others will understand.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be clear thinking with a creative and innovative approach to dealing with problem solving and challenges.
- Applied experience in financial services or insurance industry reporting and visualisation processes, tools and technology
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple data sources to develop insights informing business strategy
- Knowledge of general insurance claim practices across multiple lines
