About the opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Director, Technology Health Insurance and Finance we have a fantastic role that has become available due to an internal promotion for our Head of Strategy Planning and Delivery. The successful person will act as the Technology Operational leader connecting strategy, transformation, planning, risk management, portfolio management, change delivery and capability uplift for the HI Technology function. You’ll oversee the development and execution of our technology strategy, manage the delivery of our technology portfolio, and lead the improvement of our technology capabilities across all HI Technology capturing between 450-500 people and an annual investment slate of circa $60Mn spend. The remit also encompasses transformation activity executing the Delivery Reimagined strategic program aimed at optimisation of the system of work aligned to key technology goals to meet agreed targets; and enable the successful delivery of critical programmes of work which are core organisational strategic pillars. You’ll also bring your strong people leadership to the role with having 3 direct reports and 20 indirect reports.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

- Proven experience as a technology executive, with a track record of success in leading technology strategy, portfolio delivery, and capability uplift initiatives.
- Deep understanding of technology trends and best practices, with experience in implementing emerging technologies.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organisation up to CEO.
- Exp managing budgets and financial planning
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Evidence of practical experience in customer-centric design and delivery within large scale organisations.
- Commercial acumen - experience operating within benefits and value realisation frameworks, including cost effective delivery and productivity measurement.
