Cocoon SDA Care provides support staff to NDIS-registered providers. Our houses offer our participants a place they can call home, whilst encouraging independence and lifestyle choices that suit their individual needs. **About the role**
We are looking for support workers to help who have industry experience, manual handling skills and the following attributes:
- Multiple positions will be available.
- Experience managing participants who require support with complex care and high physical needs.

- We are seeking Disability Support Workers who have experience in supporting participants with highly complex needs.
- You will work in Supported Disability Accommodation to support those with medical needs and manual handling requirements to live in an environment that maximises personal growth and independence.

- Create opportunities, are champions of connecting their abilities, and inspire partnerships of support that encourage every individual to realise their full potential.

- 20+ hours per week paid employment.
- Experience in manual handling, transfers and experience utilising AT equipment.
- Experience in supporting people with physical and neurological diagnosis, which relating to their disability.
- Ability and adaptable to change in a person's support needs.
- Highly desirable in Aged and Health background experience.

**Mandatory requirement**- Cert III or higher in Disability Services or 12months experience
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You)
- Working with Children Check
- Manual handling
- Driver’s Licence
- Car Insurance
- Reliable vehicle
- Must be available for sleep over shifts.
- At least 1 year as a DSW in NDIS sector
- Must have current CPR and First Aid and practice.
**Additional skillset**:
- Experience in acquired brain injury.
- Experience in mental health
- Dementia training
- Experience with clients having high complex behaviour
- Experience in Personal care
